About Us

Broadway Goes Pop was started by Amber Kempter in 2016 when she sat down and made her first custom pop, Alexander Hamilton. After sharing a photo of the pop in a Facebook group, BGP exploded into a small business and quickly grew into a thriving online Broadway community. Amber creates custom vinyl dolls with a Broadway focus, but she also creates personalized and wedding dolls as well. Recently, she added enamel pins, stickers, and magnets to her repertoire of products. Amber also creates custom Broadway T-shirts.

Amber has created dolls for many of Broadway's brightest stars, such as Lin Manuel Miranda, Ben Platt, J. Harrison Ghee, Mark Ballas, Laura Dreyfuss, Andy Karl, and almost the entire cast of Hamilton. If you are a cast member and are interested in a custom doll, please contact Amber on her social media! Amber grew up in the midwest and currently lives in Omaha, NE with her husband and three kids. She spends the majority of her time with her family and/or running Broadway Goes Pop, but also enjoys going to the theatre, reading, traveling (especially to NYC), movies, and watching reruns of The Office.
